Khan Muhammad Shah, Rais of Maler
1538 - 1545 Khan Muhammad Shah, Rais of Maler. b. 1494, son of Shaikh
'Isa, Ruler of Maler, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of
his father,
1538. Reigned under the regency of Mir Faisli, but killed him and assumed full charge
of the state. Deposed by the Delhi authorities but restored on the orders of Emperor
Sher Shah Suri, 1543. m. 1514, a daughter of a Rajput landlord from Murinda.
He d. at Maler, 1545, having had issue, three sons:
1)
Khan Muhammad Ishaq Khan [Khwaja Maudad], Rais of Maler
2) Shah Mansur Khan. b. at Maler, 1520, educ. privately.
