Khan Atau'llah Khan
1784 - 1809 Khan Atau'llah Khan, Regent of Malerkotla, fifth son of
Nawab Jamal Khan, Nawab of Malerkotla, by his second wife, Nawab Sultan Begum Sahiba, educ.
privately. Succeeded on the death of his elder brother, April 1784. Joined
in alliance with the HEIC to oppose the Marathas, serving under Lord Lake at Laswari
and the conquest of Delhi in 1803. Placed
his state under British protection 3rd
May 1809. He d. at Malerkotla, 14th August 1809 (bur.
Shahi Muqbara), having had issue, three sons:
1) Khan Sahib Muhammad
Rahmat 'Ali Khan, of Rahmatgarh.
2) Khan Sahib Fazl 'Ali
Khan. Served at the siege of Bharatpur 1804-1805. He d.s.p.
1844.
3) Khan Sahib Imam 'Ali
Khan. He d. 1839
