1871 - 1908 H.H. Nawab Muhammad Ibrahim 'Ali Khan Bahadur, Nawab of Malerkotla. b. at Rahmatgarh, 13th October 1857, eldest son of Colonel Khan
Sahib Muhammad Dilawar 'Ali Khan, of Rahmatgarh, educ. the Ward's Institute,
Ambala, Punjab. Adopted and appointed as Heir Apparent by Nawab Sikander 'Ali Khan,
29th June 1871. Succeeded on
his death, 16th July 1871. Reigned
under a superintendent until he came of age and was invested with full ruling powers,
1875. The state was placed under a Superintendent because of the Nawab's incapacity,
1885. Granted a personal salute of 11-guns, together with the style of His Highness, 1st January 1877. Rcvd: KIH gold medal (1877). m. H.H.
Nawab ... Begum Sahiba (d. at Malerkotla, 1884, bur. Shahi Muqbara),
daughter of Khan Sahib Ghulam Muhammad Khan. He d. from cholera, at Malerkotla, 23rd August 1908 (bur. there at the Shahi Muqbara), having
had issue, three sons and several daughters, including:
1) Nawabzada Muhammad Ishaq 'Ali Khan Bahadur. b. at Malerkotla, 19th September 1874. Heir
Apparent at birth. He d.v.p. at Malerkotla, 19th
February 1884.
2) H.H. Nawab Muhammad Ahmad 'Ali Khan Bahadur, Nawab of Malerkotla
3) Raja Muhammad Ja'afar
'Ali Khan Bahadur, OBE (c 3.6.1919). b. at Malerkotla, February 1885. Hon.
